The pieces Afterlife, Relative, In Deep, and Spiritual Vox were created after a grone vox was killed and left dead next to a busy road. Besides a little bit of blood by his nose, you couldn’t see that he was hit by a car. (The car had a big bump, I was told.) But the image of this vox looked so peaceful that I photographed it and started to draw..

Some of my obsessions include my cat, Kwabbernoot. She’s a girl, but when I got her, I knew I wanted to have her sterilized. Since they had to cut her abdominal muscles, I knew she would have a “flopie stomach” after the procedure. I thought it would be funny to call her Kwabbje.
I often draw and paint her, and I also like to draw tropical birds, which is another hobby of mine.

The price in the quote is calculated based on the materials used and the number of working hours, excluding VAT.
For this mural, 3 seasons were painted, with about one week dedicated to each season. Of course, there was drying time in between as multiple layers were applied. The 4th season, autumn, was omitted because the client does not like this season. Since there is a door frame in the wall, it was decided to place autumn there, effectively leaving it out of the mural.
The client wanted a depiction of the ‘coastline’ of Walsoorden. Of course, this village is not located on the North Sea, but on the Western Scheldt, and so there isn’t really a coastline, but that was the subject.
A lot of research was done beforehand to capture this world, using photography and sketches.
