Mural “Coastline of Walsoorden.”

Time: two and a half months.

“For this project, I was asked to paint a mural with the Coastline of Walsoorden as the subject. It’s not really a coastline because there’s no ocean, but it’s water from the ocean that flows by the village. The vibe of the painting had to reflect the four seasons that change as you pass by the wall. At the entrance, it starts with winter, then there is a doorway that represents fall (my customer didn’t like fall, so I left it out of the painting). After that comes summer and spring. I started with a fresh base coat of very light yellow interior paint. The painting itself is acrylic-based with a finishing lacquer coat.”
